What Makes Vizsla Special

Training Vizsla is different in a few key ways. First, they have many talents and are generally very calm, relaxed dogs. But they need a lot of regular exercise. Even when they don’t seem to be interested in one. They won’t jog or run much, so you’ll need a lot of time to keep them exercised. They may not be a wise choice for a family with very small children, but would work well in a family with older kids.

They also need to have constant, regular accompaniment to remain even tempered as they age. Training Vizsla is useless if you’re never home and they get apprehensive. In fact, they need more socialization more repeatedly than most other breeds, both with people and other dogs.

Also make sure you are patient and have a lot of time. Vizsla like to make you happy but they can be a bit stubborn and they’re intelligent, so training will not be easy.

Vizsla Training Basics

Before you start training your new puppy, take note of the two introductory elements to any animal training plan which are confidence and respect its important in schooling a dog. As sociable group dogs, they have a instinctive need to respect a solid leader. By taking on the position of group leader, you are making it simple for the dog to figure out how he should behave.

To start your training, make sure your Vizsla puppy stays with his mother until at least eight weeks of age. Training Vizsla for Obedience

Obedience training with a Vizsla is simple enough. It starts at a young age, usually around 14 weeks when the puppy has been housebroken and knows its place in the household. Make sure never to be aggressive or violent

Because most Vizsla will not be doing a lot of tricks and are relatively relaxed, the most important things you can teach them are to sit and stay and to walk on a leash. It is also a good idea to teach them not to chase things as it can be hard to keep such dog under control.

With training Vizsla, basic training methods work very well, but you may need a bit more drilling and patience on your part to enforce in them. however, make sure you direct your Vizsla chum with a big family, neighbors or a local dog park.
